Holopeak have a growing presence among a new generation of young, forward thinking, genre-fluid artists working on Eora land (so-called Sydney). Proceeding from an ethos of collaborative music-making through improvisation, their music invokes the intensity and repetition of post-rock and the cool, clear vistas of American minimalism, while skirting any neat classification. They have brought their unique live performances to jazz clubs, rock venues and underground spaces around the country for the past three years.

While their debut album 'Summit Over' announced the band’s arrival with concise excerpts taken from long improvised takes, 'Golden Walk’ sees the group taking a more adventurous approach to recording, while refining their compositional sensibilities. The album's 4 tracks were composed collaboratively in the studio through improvisation, listening, re-taking and overdubbing.

Bound together by process over style, Holopeak continue to trace their own musical pathway.
